Stubbs and I went hands-on with the Claw 8 back in December, and you can read my impressions here. I have also been testing a review sample of this handheld, and I can honestly say the Lunar Lake Processor is no joke.
Doom Eternal on the MSI Claw 8 AI+
Every game I have played on it from Doom Eternal to Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII has looked absolutely gorgeous. I can honestly say that I have had no battery anxiety playing games on this device.
Crisis Core Reunion on the MSI Claw 8 AI+
The device has some amazing speakers as well, enhancing the hardware as opposed to the software. RPGs with their killer soundtracks are amazing on this handheld.
The MSI Claw 7 AI+ is also available for preorder. It brings a smaller form factor similar to the original Claw A1M, and a smaller battery, but the same processing power and is $100 cheaper.
Price and Availability
The Claw 8 retails for $899 and the Claw 7 retails for $799, and the Amazon listings claim that both handhelds will be released on February 4. We aren’t sure what the demand will look like, so get your orders in now!
