Ready-to-Run
These ones are the easiest to get going: just download from PortMaster and play. This list of freeware, demos, and open-source projects is ready to play on dozens of devices.
- Ikemen Engine – An open-source fighting game engine that supports MUGEN resources.
- Slash/Jump – Bounce and slash your way through this short and sweet, uniquely controlled precision platformer!
- PacMan ROM – Recent reports have talked about strange symptoms when trying this corrupted ROM of the classic Pacman, we can’t confirm or deny it, play it at your own risk.
- OpenRA – OpenRA is an open source project that recreates and modernizes classic real time strategy games, like Red Alert, Command & Conquer, and Dune 2000.
- Guardian Sphere – A fast-paced shoot ’em up where you spend your own life points as currency to buy upgrades.
- Crazy Cook – Cook fast and become the best chef!
- Chao Resort Island – Chao Resort Island is a 2.5D Chao raising game originally available for PC and Mac and now on PortMaster!
- Watch Ducks Legacy – You watch ducks???
- Inferna – Charge and burn your way through a labyrinthine complex as a ball of fire!

These titles are also free, but require one extra step, such as providing a specific BIOS, a freeware data file from another website (like itch.io), or a legally-owned ROM. Where possible, a link to the files is provided.
- Tiny Rally: Turbo Tour – Low-res arcade racer made for #LOWREZJAM2020
- Düm 2 Heck On Earf – A Doom inspired arcade style shooter, made in 1 month for the Awful Summer Jam 2017.
- Skull Pong – A reimagining of the classic Pong game, but with a Halloween theme!
- REDPULSE – A run ‘n gun game inspired by bullet hell shooters that encourages speedy and aggressive gameplay.
- Adventure Rush – Demo is playable for free with linked files. To play the full game, purchase from Steam.
Paid Games
These ports bring fantastic commercial games to your handheld, but require you to provide the data files from a copy you own on a platform like Steam or GOG.
- WORDSCOOP! With Gelato the Otter – Find words by connecting adjacent, contiguous scoops! When the word is ready, click again on the last scoop to submit.
- Quarion – A short 2D pixel-style metroidvania where you explore, fight bosses, acquire items and abilities and find secrets.
- October Panic – Super cute platformer with five levels and no saving/loading. A small trick-or-treat bag packed to the brim with both treats and tricks.
