A new compilation disc for the Sega Dreamcast comprising the top 10 game picks from a recent game jam is now available to order. The disc is free of charge, with buyers covering only the cost of shipping.
The Dream Disc ‘24 game jam, which ran from December 2024 to January 2025, challenged coders to produce new games for Sega’s classic Dreamcast console. The best of these games has been collected on one disc, which is available to play on original hardware.
For those who prefer to have a digital alternative, a downloadable version of the collection is freely available. The collection spans several genres, from the narrative adventure The Eternal Sleep to the puzzle game Defuseball. There’s even a Tony Hawk: Pro Skater clone where you play as a big truck.
What’s On The Disc?
Black Hole Descent: A challenging and fast-paced space runner created specifically for the game jam.
Defuseball: A puzzle game where you control a ball to disarm bombs in a specific order against the clock.
dRxLaX: A multiplayer-focused arcade shooter akin to Geometry Wars.
The Eternal Sleep: A short, narrative-driven adventure that follows Lydia on a quest to stop her world from dying.
Murph’s Big Puddle Fishin’: A relaxing game where you play as Murph, a sock puppet who enjoys fishing in puddles to earn money for upgrades.
Order of Titan: A short adventure where the player is tasked with helping recover powerful Titan abilities.
Rizzo Island Remix: A 3D platformer in which Tom, cursed by a sea witch, must escape a surreal dream world.
Sky Pirates of Etalmar: An arcade aerial dogfighting game featuring a single-player campaign and splitscreen multiplayer modes.
Starship Madness: A 3D shoot-’em-up where you must defend your cyberplanet from waves of alien invaders.
Trick Truck: A unique game where the goal is to perform high-scoring stunts and tricks in a box truck.
