We probably should have seen this coming, but this morning we woke up to some less-than-stellar news from AYN. According to an update posted to the Indiegogo page, any unfulfilled Odin 3 Ultra orders have been “delayed until mid of Jan 2026.”
As for the reasoning why? Well, it’s pretty obvious if you’ve seen what’s been happening in the industry. However, the official statement reads as follows:
Due to recent memory skyrocketing price increases and a temporary shortage in the memory supply market, the estimated shipping window of Odin 3 Ultra(24G+1TB) unfulfilled orders will be delayed to the mid of Jan 2026 unfortunately.
While this is a huge disappointment, it doesn’t come as a shock given that prices have risen to unsustainable levels for both consumers and manufacturers. That being said, AYN is offering a couple of options for those still interested in getting the Odin 3:
1. For customers who would like to exchange their Odin3 Ultra model to Odin 3 Max which will help to get their order shipped before Christmas, we will refund the price difference accordingly after your Odin3 Max is delivered. Please email us (in**@*yn.hk) in the coming 48 hours if you want to do this model exchange.
2. If you prefer to keep your original Odin 3 Ultra order, thanks for your patience we will keep your order as is. No further action is required from your side.
While on one hand, it’s absolutely disappointing to see AYN delaying Odin 3 Ultra orders for at least another month, especially if you already managed to purchase one. But on the other hand, we applaud AYN for providing updates, as opposed to just leaving people in the dark.
The writing was already kind of on the wall, as the Odin 3 Ultra model went “out of stock” over at AYN’s website. We weren’t sure whether this was due to the surging memory prices, or if it was just sold out for good. Thankfully the latter doesn’t seem to be the case, even if you can’t actually pre-order one in the event that you didn’t already.
At the time of this writing, the Base, Pro, and Max configurations are all still available for pre-order. So if you haven’t grabbed one yet, now might be the time to do so.
