Do you remember when Soulja Boy rebranded the Powkiddy A19/Retroid Pocket 1 and sold it as the TRDR Pocket? What about when the TRDR Pocket 2 was released in 2022, with the only significant change being a new array of colors? Well, it seems like we might be in store for a third iteration, currently named the TRDR+.
I stumbled upon this abomination while doing research for something else, and I just couldn’t believe it. There’s a website dedicated to the TRDR+, but all it shows is a teaser video and a message at the top that says:
Sign up on the 15,10, 2025. From the home of entertainment to your home anywhere.
Beyond that, there’s nothing else that can be interacted with, unless you happen to have a “password” to enter. But here’s the thing, I don’t actually think this is an upcoming handheld. That’s because if you look at the @Trdrplus X account, this same handheld graphic with the headphone wire wrapped around it was used back in July of 2024 for the “TRDR Luxa.”
After a supposed launch with a hilarious $299 price tag, the account continued hyping up the Luxa until October. From then until about February, the branding shifted to the “TRDR+”, with what appear to be random and limited release drops.
🎃 THIS HALLOWEEN 🎃

Get yours for just $30! pic.twitter.com/tzdiWlinYA— TRDR+ (@Trdrplus) October 25, 2024
One particular post on October 25 mentions that you can “get yours for just $30!” And in the promo video, the last panel says that it’s “only $30 per month,” but doesn’t actually say anything about what that $30 gets you and for how long you’ll have to pay.
Surprisingly, the X account hasn’t posted anything since February 2025, when the profile image was changed. So while something is apparently happening on October 15, there’s no way to sign up for notifications, and we have no idea of this is just the same handheld rebranded, or if any internal changes were made.
We’re going to be keeping an eye on this, simply for the hilarity of the situation. But if you’re interested in this handheld, don’t be. Seriously, it’s probably just some kind of scam designed to take your money and run. Besides that, do you really want a handheld from 2021?
